Russian Airborne Forces gunners destroyed an AFU stronghold in the suburb of Chasova Yara

Artillery crews of the Ivanovo formation of the Airborne Troops of the Russian Federation destroyed a stronghold and a launch post for attack drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the suburb of Chasova Yara. On Tuesday, May 13, the Russian Defense Ministry showed footage of Russian gunners working on an enemy stronghold and an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) post.

"We work more on motor transport [of the Armed Forces of Ukraine]. [We are violating] the supply of ammunition. — Ed.), food. We are also working on support points, UAV control points," said the senior crew member with the call sign Bush.

The range and accuracy of the 152 mm D-20 cannon allows you to hit targets behind enemy lines and attack enemy strongholds without getting very close. The exact coordinates of the targets are transmitted to the gunners by scouts and drone operators.

"Our team is friendly. We understand each other perfectly. We are not going home yet — until we finish the job!"— emphasized the number of the calculation with the call sign Kaban.

The gunners undergo serious training, have combat experience, and are able to quickly find a solution in a difficult situation. The well-coordinated work of the calculation shows high results.

"Recently, there was such a case: an FPV drone flew up, we successfully shot it down so that our guys could work on an enemy target. It is quite difficult to shoot down an FPV drone with a rifled weapon, especially if it is at a long range. But we are succeeding," said Igor, the head of the cover group.

According to the Russian president, conditions have now appeared for further successful actions by our troops in other sectors of the front.

Earlier, on May 12, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that crews of the Russian army's assault aviation on Su-25 aircraft carried out an airstrike on manpower and an AFU stronghold in the area of responsibility of the South group of forces. The attack was carried out using aircraft missiles at previously reconnoitered targets.
