The Ministry of Defense showed footage of the destruction of Baba-Yaga-type drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

The military personnel of the Center group of forces have developed effective tactics to combat heavy unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) of the Baba Yaga type in the Red Army area of the special military operation zone. This was announced by the Russian Defense Ministry on Tuesday, May 13.

"These massive drones, capable of carrying significant ammunition, have become priority targets for all drone operators, and if they are detected in the air, their destruction becomes a top priority," the military department said.

As indicated in the Russian Ministry of Defense, operators of FPV drones, when detecting drones of this type, immediately redirect their calculations to them. Also, specially trained UAV crews are capable of intercepting Baba-Yaga hexacopters both on approach and when they stop in the air before dropping ammunition or during reconnaissance of the area.

According to experts, in this way the authorities intend to legalize the smuggling flow.

On the eve of May 12, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that the crews of the Russian army's assault aviation on Su-25 aircraft carried out an airstrike on manpower and a stronghold of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the area of responsibility of the South group of forces. The attack was carried out using aircraft missiles at previously reconnoitered targets.
