The Russian Embassy was not affected by the armed clashes in Libya


The Russian Embassy said on Tuesday, May 13, that it was not affected by the armed clashes that broke out in the Libyan capital Tripoli.
According to TASS, the embassy building is located "at a considerable distance" from the hotbeds of clashes. At the moment, the situation in the embassy area is calm.
The embassy also clarified that they had not received any requests for necessary assistance from Russian citizens.
On the eve of May 12, Al Mayadeen reported that armed clashes had taken place in Tripoli after the assassination of the head of the security service at the Libyan Presidential Council, Abdelghani al-Kikli. The operation of the international Libyan airport of Mitiga was suspended. The local ambulance service reported six casualties.
