- HR expert named the reason for the decrease in motivation after a passive rest on the weekend

A passive and monotonous rest during a long holiday weekend knocks you out of the rhythm, while an active one helps you reboot. HR expert Garry Muradian shared this opinion with Izvestia.
"On the one hand, a long rest helps to recover, reduce stress, and increase emotional state. But if a person takes too long to rest and is not constructive, such as drinking and not getting enough sleep, then, of course, motivation decreases," Muradyan explained.
According to him, two or three days before going to work, you need to go to bed and get up at the same time, and start the first working days after a long weekend with small and easy tasks.
"In general, businesses are suspending work, the economy is slowing down, and after the holidays, productivity may initially decrease due to employee adaptation, but in the long run, of course, rested employees work more efficiently, which is generally beneficial to business," he concluded.
On May 5, psychologist and business coach Yulia Kulikova-Tsai told how to get into work after the May holidays. The specialist advised me to organize a calendar of things and look at it before the end of the weekend in order to tune in and, for example, prepare for some meetings. In addition, it is worth taking time for a little physical activity, 10-15 minutes of exercise in the morning will be enough. A contrast shower will also help, not necessarily icy, but cool.
