"She was a wonderful, very friendly person, very bright in communication," he stressed.
Lebedev admitted that Grebeshkova was his "mascot", and her passing away was a huge personal loss for him.
"She came to Minsk to shoot, brought a cart on wheels and a stick. She played the same grandmother, a comedic character in the story, and she said, "These items belonged to Lena, they belonged to Gaidai." It was important to her that they appeared in the frame, and it was very important to me," said the director, recalling the filming of the movie "The Fan."
Grebeshkova died on May 10 at the age of 95. The actress has about 130 works in film projects, most of all she was remembered by the audience for her supporting roles in the films of her husband, director Leonid Gaidai.
