Russian Su-25s destroyed the Ukrainian Armed Forces strongholds in the area of the special operation

Crews of the Russian army's assault aviation carried out an airstrike on manpower and a stronghold of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the area of responsibility of the South group of forces. This was announced on May 12 by the Russian Defense Ministry.

The attack was carried out using aircraft missiles at previously reconnoitered targets. According to the pilot with the call sign "Lightning", the strike was carried out by two pairs of attack aircraft.

"Our task now is to prevent the enemy from gaining a foothold. Departure after departure, we cover the personnel and equipment," the pilot added.

It is specified that after completing the task, the crews performed an anti-missile maneuver, released heat traps and returned to the airfield. According to intelligence data, all targets were destroyed.

Earlier that day, Russian military personnel destroyed a US-made HIMARS multiple launch rocket system (MLRS) in the area of a special military operation in the Sumy region. It is noted that the fighters of the North group of forces have identified the location of the HIMARS MLRS of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the area of the village of Nagornovka.
