Hybrid crossover GAC S7 debuts in Russia

GAC plans to introduce the S7 hybrid crossover to the Russian market. This was reported on May 12 by the Autostat agency with reference to the press service of the Chinese brand. The date of the Russian debut of the model has not yet been specified.

The GAC S7 premium crossover is built on a new modular platform designed specifically for hybrid and electric models. The length of the novelty is 4900 mm with a wheelbase of 2880 mm.

According to <url> Magazine, in China the GAC S7 is sold with a 1.5 turbo engine with a capacity of 160 hp in two versions. The front-wheel drive with internal combustion engine has an electric motor developing 231 hp (250 Nm). In the all-wheel drive version, another 109 hp (143 Nm) unit has been added to the rear axle. The fastest crossover accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in 5.8 seconds.

The pure electric power reserve of the single—wheel drive version is 205 km, and the fully autonomous mileage is 1,150 km. The same figures for the all—wheel drive S7 are 180 and 1020 km. The list of equipment includes a complex of driving assistants that provides a 2++ level of autonomy.

Earlier in the day, it was reported that sales of crossovers under the new Nordcross brand will begin in Russia at the end of May. The 001 model, which is a Chinese Lynk & Co 09 and shares a platform with the Volvo XC90, will enter the market.

Also on this day, it became known that official sales of hybrid crossovers of the Chinese brand Li Auto (Lixiang) in Russia will begin at the end of May 2025. The interests of the Li Auto brand in Russia are represented by the Chinese concern Sinomach Auto.
