Turkish airlines will fine passengers who leave their seats before the "Fasten seat belts" light is turned off. This was reported on May 12 by the Turkish newspaper Akdeniz Gerek, citing a circular from the Turkish General Directorate of Civil Aviation (SHGM).

According to the newspaper, Turkish Airlines became the first airline to introduce new rules.

"Passengers who get up immediately after landing, open the luggage racks, or ignore the warnings of flight attendants may be fined in accordance with applicable legal regulations," the article says.

Turkish Airlines has already called on the airline's flight attendants to pay special attention to informing passengers about the new rules, adds "Газета.Ru ".

Earlier, on April 15, the media reported that China had ordered its airlines not to accept further deliveries of Boeing aircraft as part of retaliatory measures against US President Donald Trump's 145% duties. Beijing also demanded that Chinese carriers stop any purchases of aircraft equipment and parts from American companies.
