The investigation Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Nevsky district of St. Petersburg has opened a criminal case into the attack on the correspondent of the 78 TV channel Alyona Chernysheva. This was announced by the official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia Irina Volk in her Telegram channel.

"The investigator of the Department of Inquiry of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Nevsky district initiated a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under the second part of Article 115 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (intentional infliction of minor harm to health. — Ed.)," the publication says.

It is specified that during the filming of the report in the house No. 2 on Gribakin Street, an unknown man attacked and hit a 19-year-old girl. Police officers identified the attacker as a 56-year-old local resident. He was taken to the police station.

A day earlier, it became known about the attack on the correspondent of the 78 TV channel Alyona Chernysheva during her work. An unknown man struck the correspondent when she was talking to the neighbors of an 18-year-old teenager who was injured by a firecracker explosion. It was later reported that the attacker grabbed the journalist by her clothes, tried to push her out of the entrance and punched her in the face.
