During a meeting in Moscow between Yuri Maksimov, co-founder of the Cyberus Cybersecurity Development Foundation, and Toh Lam, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, issues of developing cooperation between Russia and Vietnam in the field of cybersecurity were discussed. This was reported by the press service of the Cyberus Foundation.

"We consider Russia to be a priority country for cooperation in cybersecurity. We have thousands of personnel in Vietnam who have been trained in Russia in the field of cybersecurity and information technology, and they now work in many government agencies, as well as in state-owned enterprises. We support your proposals for the development of cooperation with Vietnam, and we are ready to participate in the initiatives that you propose in the framework of this issue," said To Lam.

Maximov and To Lam discussed the prospects for cooperation between Russia and Vietnam in the field of creating a secure digital architecture, sharing technological experience, training specialists and joining forces to strengthen the cyber sovereignty of both countries. The General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam supported the initiatives of the Russian side and stressed that Vietnam considers Russia a priority partner in the field of cybersecurity.

"We are on the verge of major changes in the technological world. The cybersecurity of the future cannot be built alone. We are confident that combining the efforts of friendly countries will make it possible to build an architecture capable of protecting against unacceptable damage, be it cybercrime or cyberwarfare," said Yuri Maksimov.

The expanded meeting was attended by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Minister of Science and Technology, the Chairman of the Central Bank of Vietnam and the Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of Vietnam. The parties agreed to further expand cooperation in the field of technology exchange and the creation of joint solutions to ensure cybersecurity.

Earlier, as reported by Izvestia, Russia and Vietnam agreed to deepen cooperation in the field of defense, security and military equipment, as well as jointly respond to security challenges, cybersecurity and combat high-tech crimes.
