- Experts named the cheapest countries for tourists from the Russian Federation to undergo treatment

Maldives, Seychelles and Turkey are the cheapest destinations for Russian tourists to receive medical treatment. This follows from an internal study by analysts at the online insurance company Luchi, which was reviewed by Izvestia on May 13.
Thus, Turkey turned out to be the cheapest country for the treatment of diseases among Russian tourists. The average cost is €122.
"Due to inflation and rising prices for vacations, the average cost is expected to increase next year," the company said.
Maldives and Seychelles are in second place.
"It's unexpected to see these destinations in the ranking when the travel package to these countries is in the "above average" category and only rich tourists can afford it. However, the average cost of treating the disease here is €126," the insurance company said.
The leader in the number of requests from Russian tourists in all three directions is SARS and other viral infections.
So, in Turkey, 31.14% of Russian tourists faced such a problem, in the Maldives and Seychelles, 30.3% of Russians turned to local doctors with signs of acute respiratory viral infections, influenza, pharyngitis, tonsillitis, bronchitis or sinusitis. In the Seychelles and Maldives, 18.18% of tourists from the Russian Federation have experienced otitis media.
Also, any tourist may encounter injury — these may be open wounds, fractures, dislocations, ligament tears, sprains, bites / blows from animals, or a foreign body. According to the survey results, the number of requests in Turkey was 18.42%, in the Maldives and Seychelles — 15.5%. In addition, vacationers are often concerned about diseases of the gastrointestinal tract (GIT).
"The classic picture for tourist beach destinations is acute respiratory viral infections, injuries, and gastrointestinal diseases in the first place. This is due to the abundance of all-inclusive hotels, unlimited alcohol, and the availability of water parks and attractions within walking distance. This is followed by diseases of internal organs (9.09%), skin diseases (9.09%), gastrointestinal diseases (6.06%) and 3.03% each of gynecology, diseases of the genitourinary system, Quincke's edema and sunstroke," the company's experts said.
They also added that the third place in the ranking is occupied by the countries of the former CIS: Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and others, except Georgia. The company noted that a foreign passport is not required for entry.
The insurance company recalled that in the absence of an insurance policy, the cost of treatment increases many times.
On April 30, analysts at the online insurance company Luchi reported that Thailand is the most expensive country for the treatment of Russian tourists. Its average cost is €402. Most often, tourists go to medical institutions with acute respiratory viral infections, influenza, pharyngitis, tonsillitis, bronchitis, sinusitis (22.05%), experts added.
