Almost 2 million rubles will be allocated for the preservation of the church of Nikita the Great Martyr in Tula

In Tula, a purchase has been announced for the conservation of the church of Nikita the Great Martyr. The initial cost of the contract is almost 2 million rubles.

The committee of Property and land relations of the city administration acts as the customer. The contractor's tasks include studying the condition of the temple, as well as developing a conservation plan with the involvement of historical architects and restorers. This is reported by TSN24.

The contractor will be selected on May 15. The work must be completed by the end of September.

The church was recognized as an object of cultural heritage of regional importance. The first mention of the temple dates back to the end of the XVI century. At the beginning of the 18th century, a stone church was built on the site of a dilapidated wooden church, which was dismantled and rebuilt in 1820. In Soviet times, the building housed the laboratories of the Tula Polytechnic Institute.
