A resident of Buryatia was sentenced to five years for torturing children.


A court has sentenced a resident of Gusinoozersk in Buryatia to five years in prison for torturing children under her care and stealing money from one of the minors. This was reported on May 12 in the investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the republic.
"In the period from June 2022 to December 2023, it <...> as punishment for minor offenses, she systematically inflicted beatings and used other violence against three children under her care who were in a helpless state and financially dependent on her," follows from the publication in the Telegram channel.
In addition, the attacker stole the savings of a boy who was under her care. It is specified that the child received a disability pension. There were large amounts of money in his various bank accounts, which the woman cashed out under the pretext of crediting to a single card.
The court sentenced the woman to five years in prison, suspended until the convicted woman's child reaches the age of 14.
Earlier, on April 30, a man who beat two children of a cohabitant and raped them was sentenced to 22 years in prison. It was clarified that the minors reported the crimes in August 2023 to the mother, who contacted law enforcement agencies.
