- Ukraine's permanent representative to the UN criticized Merz for hiding supplies to Kiev

Ukraine is unhappy with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz's decision to conceal information about military aid to Kiev. This was announced on May 12 by Ukraine's Permanent Representative to the UN, Andriy Melnyk.
It is reported that Merz decided not to disseminate information about the supply of weapons to Ukraine immediately after taking office.
"This brings us back to unpleasant memories of the time when, in the spring of 2022, the traffic light government tried to hide the lack of military support behind secrecy," N—tv quoted Melnik as saying.
Earlier, on May 10, Verkhovna Rada deputy Alexander Dubinsky said that the European Commission (EC) had allocated only $1.9 billion to Kiev. He stressed that Europe is no longer able to continue supporting Kiev.
This is not the first time Melnik has criticized the German authorities. So, back in August 2022, he called Chancellor Olaf Scholz an "offended liver sausage."In this way, he reacted to the words that he would not go to Kiev after the refusal of the Ukrainian authorities to receive German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier.
