- The German Foreign Ministry announced its intention to continue supplying weapons to Kiev

Germany is ready to continue supplying weapons to Ukraine if Moscow and Kiev do not reach a ceasefire agreement. This was announced on May 12 by German Foreign Minister Johann Vadefuhl during a press conference broadcast on the Times News YouTube channel.
"It may well be that if negotiations do not begin and a ceasefire does not take effect, Germany will almost certainly be ready to provide further aid packages. I have no doubt about it," said the head of the German Foreign Ministry.
According to Vadefulh, Germany has always clearly shown its readiness for further arms supplies to the Ukrainian side. The parliamentarians of the last convocation showed that, if necessary, they can accept another €3 billion aid package, he stressed.
Earlier, on May 7, Friedrich Merz, who took office as German Chancellor, avoided a question from a ZDF journalist about the supply of Taurus cruise missiles to Kiev. However, he noted that the President of Ukraine, Vladimir Zelensky, can rely on him and on Germany.
