Yakut Minister apologized for gifts to veterans

The Minister of Agriculture of Yakutia, Artyom Alexandrov, apologized to industry veterans for inappropriate gifts on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War (WWII). The press service of the regional department informed about this on May 12.
As specified by "Gazeta.Ru", in honor of the holiday, industry veteran Taisiya Khromova was presented with last year's set of soup bones, cottage cheese and fermented baked milk.
"I deeply regret that the veteran of the home front and labor, the widow of a war veteran, Taisiya Trofimovna Khromova, who has worked for the republican association Agricultural Machinery for more than half a century, as well as other veterans of agriculture and the agro-industrial complex, received unworthy gifts for the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory. I apologize to the veterans and their families on my own behalf, on behalf of our ministry and all employees of the industry," Alexandrov was quoted as saying on the ministry's Telegram channel.
He noted that veterans will be duly congratulated again. They will be given other gift sets. He also promised to conduct an internal audit and do everything to ensure that such situations do not happen again.
