The Russian military destroyed the HIMARS MLRS launcher in Sumy region

Russian military personnel destroyed a US-made HIMARS multiple launch rocket system (MLRS) in the area of a special military operation in the Sumy region. This was announced on May 12 by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

It is noted that the fighters of the North group of forces have identified the location of the HIMARS MLRS of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the area of the village of Nagornovka.

According to the agency, the Outpost reconnaissance unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) recorded rocket launches from MLRS in the city of Rylsk, Kursk region.

"Immediately after that, the HIMARS MLRS launcher was hit by a missile strike from the Iskander-M tactical missile system," the Defense Ministry said.

The objective control footage shows the exact hit and explosion of the launcher of the multiple launch rocket system.

Hundreds of changes have been made to the design of the products since the beginning of the special operation.

Earlier that day, the Ministry of Defense reported that crews of 152-millimeter towed Hyacinth-B howitzers of the 25th Combined Arms Army of the Zapad group of forces destroyed a D-30 howitzer with ammunition, hangars, pickups and personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the area of their military operations. According to the agency, the positions of the Ukrainian militants were located at a distance of 15 km. Thanks to the accurate work of the gunners, it was possible to hit all the targets.
