- The government has extended the deferral of taxes for businesses in the Kursk region for a year.

The Government of the Russian Federation has extended the deferral of taxes for entrepreneurs in the Kursk region and expanded the parameters of this support measure. The relevant decree has been published on the government's official website.
"The support extends to entrepreneurs and organizations operating in the border areas of the Kursk region and the territories of the region where the counter—terrorism operation regime has been introduced and a decision has been made to resettle residents," the government decree says.
It is specified that such a measure applies to separate divisions of such organizations, as well as to organizations and individual entrepreneurs whose activities are related to agriculture.
In addition, payments for taxes, advance payments and insurance premiums due in 2024 and 2025 for such enterprises have been postponed to 2026 with the possibility of further repayment in installments for another year on a monthly basis.
Earlier, on March 13, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin announced that the Russian government would send 2.5 billion rubles to the Kursk region to support the affected industrial enterprises. He also drew attention to the fact that support measures are provided for firms, including grants, subsidies for employee downtime, equipment leasing benefits, deferrals on taxes and insurance premiums, as well as the supply of vehicles for mobile commerce.
