AvtoVAZ resumed assembly of cars after vacation


After the end of the single corporate vacation and public holidays, AvtoVAZ launched all production lines. This was reported by the Autostat agency on May 12.
AvtoVAZ stopped the production of cars from May 1 to May 11. During these weeks and a half, the company planned to modernize production sites and perform more than 9,000 different jobs worth more than 200 million rubles.
AvtoVAZ talked about plans to increase the level of robotization of the Lada Granta workshop, prepare for the launch of new enamels in the Vesta paint shop, to develop a new 1.8-liter engine for the Niva family, as well as to produce a crossover on the Vesta platform, which is scheduled to launch in 2026, and perform other work.
On April 30, AvtoVAZ announced the launch of sales of Lada Granta family cars in updated trim levels. These are sedans and liftbacks in the maximum Club version, as well as station wagons in the Quest version.
On April 19, AvtoVAZ began production of the Lada Iskra model at the Tolyatti plant and shared the details of the new product's equipment. It will be available in three body styles: sedan, station wagon and Cross-wagon with black unpainted plastic elements on the body.
