A man was killed in a collision between a passenger car and a train in the Amur region. This was reported on May 12 in the press service of the Eastern Interregional Investigative Department for Transport of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.
"According to preliminary data, on May 11, 2025, at about 22:00 (16:00 Moscow time. — Ed.) at the regulated railway crossing of Pozdeevka station on <... A passenger car collided with a freight train on the Trans—Baikal Railway," the department said in a message on its Telegram channel.
It is specified that as a result of the accident, the driver of the car was killed, and his passenger was taken to a medical facility. An investigator from the Zabaikalsky Investigative Department for Transport of the Eastern Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation is currently conducting an inspection. All the circumstances of the incident are being established.
On May 12, the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Sakhalin Region reported that two people were injured in an accident on the Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk–Kholmsk highway. Previously, the driver behind the wheel of a Toyota Rush foreign car lost control and allowed the vehicle to skid, after which he drove into a ditch with a subsequent rollover.
