Russian servicemen told about the liberation of the village of Lysovka in the DPR

Russian servicemen of the 137th separate motorized rifle brigade of the Center group of forces spoke about the liberation of the Lysovka settlement in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR). This was announced on May 12 by the Russian Defense Ministry.
"We have successfully broken through and cleared 15 settlements .<..> They passed courageously and skillfully," said Alexey Isaev, deputy commander of the assault company for military and political work.
He specified that the Russian military continued the offensive for four hours. In order to neutralize the militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), they used artillery and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
"They used different times of the day, different weather conditions, they came in from different directions and used equipment. It was only thanks to wit, bravery and various tactical actions that we were able to push through their defenses and liberate the settlement," said Sergey Batsulin, Deputy commander of the assault battalion for military operations.
The Russian military attacked at night. During the fighting, they managed to destroy a significant number of enemy equipment, including heavy drones of the Baba Yaga type, the ministry noted.
Lysovka was of great strategic importance to the enemy, representing a powerful fortified area with a developed defense system. Thanks to the precise actions of the Russian military, this settlement was liberated.
