Residential quarters will be built in the east of Moscow on the site of former industrial zones for integrated territorial development projects. This was announced on Sunday, May 11, by Vladimir Yefimov, Deputy Mayor of the capital for Urban Planning and Construction.

According to him, six KRT projects envisage the reorganization of four former industrial zones — Sokolinaya Gora, Khapilovka, Kirpichnye Streets and Searchlight. The city-appointed operators are redeveloping over 65 hectares of land, according to the Moscow City News Agency. Modern urban neighborhoods with public and business buildings, new high-tech industries, as well as residential areas will appear in these territories, the sat notes. kp.ru .

Thanks to the implementation of these projects, more than 7,8 thousand jobs will be created in the VAO, RT clarifies.

Along with housing, schools and kindergartens for 4.8 thousand students and pupils will be built there, as well as sports complexes, writes NSN. According to Vladislav Ovchinsky, head of the Moscow Department of Urban Planning Policy, landscaping will also be carried out at the sites, including children's and sports grounds, roads will be laid in new quarters and hiking trails will be organized.

At the end of April, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin signed a decree presenting a draft layout for a part of the Hammer and Sickle industrial zone No. 23 as part of the KRT program. There will be public and business facilities with an area of 61 thousand square meters, including shops, cafes and a garage, Moscow 24 reports.
