Vilfand predicted frosts in the territory of five districts of the Russian Federation in the coming days

In the coming days, frosts are expected in the territories of the Siberian, Central, Southern, Ural and Northwestern Federal districts of Russia. This was announced on May 12 by the scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia Roman Vilfand.

"Starting next week, temperatures in Novosibirsk, Omsk, and Tomsk regions will be in the range of +15...+18 degrees. And in the Krasnoyarsk Territory and Khakassia [there will be] a decrease of 8-10 degrees at once, during the day it will be about +7...+12 degrees Celsius," he told TASS.

Vilfand said that starting on May 12, the night temperature in these regions will drop to -2...+5. In the regions of Central Russia, frosts of up to -5 degrees may occur in the coming days. In Crimea, temperatures are also expected to drop to -2 degrees at night.

Temperature fluctuations can also lead to the loss of a large part of the harvest of fruit trees in the south of the country.

Vilfand said that cloudy and rainy weather is expected for residents of the capital region on May 12. The air temperature in Moscow will be +9 in the afternoon...+11 degrees, and at night the thermometer will drop to +1. +8 is expected in the Moscow region in the afternoon...+13 degrees, and at night the temperature may drop to -1.
