Nicaragua's imports from Russia amounted to $195 million in 2024


Imports of goods from Russia to Nicaragua reached $195 million in 2024. This was stated to Izvestia by Laureano Ortega, special representative of the President of Nicaragua for the development of relations with the Russian Federation.
"In 2024, our imports from Russia amounted to $195 million. These were mainly vaccines, urea, cargo transport, ventilators, safety glass, vodka, syringes, needles, threads, wires," Laureano Ortega said.
He also noted that Nicaraguan companies are actively working to increase exports of goods to Russia, despite the historical tie to the US market.
