Three people were injured in a fire at an oil and gas field in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District.

Three people were injured as a result of a well fire on the territory of the Festival deposit in the Purovsky district of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug (Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District). This was reported on May 11 in the regional investigative department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.

"The employees violated the requirements of industrial safety, as a result of which the well caught fire. Three workers were injured during the fire," the department's official Telegram channel says.

The victims are employees of the companies Kharampurneftegaz, Weatherford and Belarusneft Siberia. As a result of the emergency, as noted, the health of three workers was seriously damaged.

Forensic and fire-technical examinations have been appointed on the fact of the incident. A criminal case has been opened under Part 1 of Article 217 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Violation of industrial safety requirements for hazardous production facilities"). The agency's message states that all documentation from the enterprise was seized.

On May 6, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Sverdlovsk Region reported on the localization of a fire that occurred at an enterprise in a workshop for the production of metal powder. At the same time, the incident, as noted in the department, did not affect the operation of the plant.
