A man who tried to kidnap a girl in Volgodonsk was detained in Elista

A man who tried to kidnap a 20-year-old girl in Volgodonsk, Rostov region, was detained in Elista. This was announced on May 11 by the official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation Irina Volk.

"In the city of Elista, operatives detained the attacker and handed him over to their colleagues from the Rostov region," reads a message posted on Irina Volk's personal Telegram channel.

It is noted that during the operational actions of the criminal investigation Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Rostov region, it was possible to establish the identity and location of the attacker. He turned out to be a 37-year-old native of Kalmykia. An investigation has been launched into the incident to make an appropriate procedural decision.

On May 11, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Rostov region reported that in Volgodonsk a man attacked a girl and tried to take her away, but a child prevented him. After the incident, the suspect fled the scene.
