An earthquake of magnitude 4.7 occurred off the coast of Ecuador on May 10. According to EMSC, the epicenter of the earthquake was located 43 km southeast of the city of Guayaquil, which is home to more than 1.9 million people. The source was located at a depth of 10 km.
