Trump called on Ukraine to participate in negotiations with Russia

Ukraine must agree to negotiations with Russia. This was announced on May 11 by US President Donald Trump on the Truth Social network.

"The President of Russia [Vladimir] Putin does not want to conclude a ceasefire agreement with Ukraine, but rather wants to meet on Thursday [May 15] in Turkey to negotiate a possible end to the bloodshed. Ukraine must agree to this, immediately," Trump wrote.

In addition, Kirill Dmitriev, the head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), the special representative of the President of the Russian Federation, reacted to the words of the American leader.

"Well said," Dmitriev noted on his page on the social network X (ex. Twitter).

The US president signed almost 140 decrees, imposed duties and began to establish relations with Russia.

Earlier in the day, Politico newspaper reported that Trump supported the EU's plan for the Ukrainian conflict, related to the idea of establishing a 30-day cease-fire, but may change his mind.
