The Kremlin announced Kiev's attempts to disrupt the celebration of Victory Day.
The Kiev regime tried to disrupt the celebration of Victory Day on May 9 in Moscow. This was announced on May 11 by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.
"Yes, rather, there was an attempt to disrupt," he said in an interview with VGTRK journalist Pavel Zarubin, the video was posted on his Telegram channel.
Peskov noted that statements by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky threatening world leaders who took part in the parade were "insane."
"The main thing is not drones, the main thing is Zelensky's unprecedentedly provocative statement. Generally speaking, making such statements at the level of the head of state is, you know, a manifestation of state terrorism," the Kremlin spokesman added.
He added that during the Victory Day celebrations, Russian air defense systems worked effectively.
On May 3, the media reported that the head of the Kiev regime rejected the Russian Federation's proposal for a truce during the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, saying that Ukraine could not guarantee the safety of foreign guests who planned to arrive in Moscow on May 9. Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova called Zelensky's statement a direct threat.
On April 28, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a truce in the special military operation zone from May 8 to 11, timed to coincide with the anniversary of the Victory. Peskov said that the termination of the 80th anniversary of the Victory is a manifestation of Russia's goodwill.
