The expert spoke about the reason for the cancellation of the compulsory medical insurance policy

Due to errors in the accounting of personal data, compulsory medical insurance (CHI) policies may be cancelled. This was announced on May 11 by Roman Shcheglevatykh, Vice-president of the All-Russian Union of Insurers (VSS).

"During the implementation of the new personalized accounting, medical insurance organizations often faced the problem of cancellation of the compulsory medical insurance policy," the expert said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

Shcheglevatykh recalled that the new accounting procedure was introduced in December 2022, and said that errors in the document could arise due to the receipt of information to the compulsory health insurance fund from several departments to form one account. He stressed that in total, insurance companies have identified about 30 thousand such inaccuracies in the information. Such situations may arise now, but their scale is "incomparable with the period of innovation."

In addition, the expert stressed that in case of an error, it is necessary to contact your insurance medical organization for consultation. According to him, more than 11 million such awareness-raising events were held last year.
