Russia has proposed using biometrics to identify alcohol buyers

Biometric data is stored in encrypted form separately from other personal data and does not leave the system.

"This would make it possible to cut off the sale of goods to those persons who do not have the right to purchase, for example, due to age restrictions," Chekushov said in an interview with TASS.

According to him, the introduction of a unified biometric system for trading will also indicate the development of new technologies.
