In Krasnoyarsk, a local resident died due to an electric train collision. This was announced on May 11 by the Siberian Transport Police.

"The duty station of the Siberian Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia received a message that a man was fatally injured by an electric train near Pervomaiskaya railway station," the department's Telegram channel said.

It has been established that the deceased is a 39-year-old local resident who crossed the railway tracks in the wrong place in front of the locomotive. Despite the emergency braking and sound signals, the collision could not be avoided, the man died on the spot.

According to the data of the Eastern Interregional Investigation Department for Transport of the Investigative Committee of Russia, this fact is being checked under Part 2 of Article 263 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Violation of the rules of traffic safety and operation of railway transport, resulting in death by negligence").

In February, two children were killed by an electric train in Tatarstan. According to preliminary data, two minors were crossing railway tracks in the wrong place. The driver applied emergency braking and gave the signal, but it was not possible to prevent the collision.
