The Krasnoyarsk nuclear-powered submarine missile cruiser (APRK) of the Pacific Fleet (Pacific Fleet) returned to its home base in Kamchatka after successfully firing a Kalibr missile system and an anti-submarine missile torpedo in a designated area of the Pacific Ocean. This was reported on May 11 in the press service of the Pacific Fleet.

It is specified that the cruiser performed this practice for the first time. The commander of the Pacific Fleet's Submarine Forces, Vice Admiral Vladimir Dmitriev, received a report from Captain 1st Rank Alexey Druzhinin, commander of the Krasnoyarsk Submarine Complex, on the successful completion of the task and congratulated the sailors on the successful completion of the exercise. Distinguished servicemen were awarded diplomas and awards.

In addition, during the ceremony, Dmitriev handed Druzhinin an icon of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker, which is especially revered by submariners.

"The crew is very young, less than a year and a half old. It was formed on December 1, 2023. After completing the training, a certain course, after less than a year and a half, the crew completed a very serious combat training task," Druzhinin said.

He clarified that the task was accomplished largely thanks to the people who designed and assembled the cruiser. In addition, Druzhinin added that such exercises will continue in the future.

On April 23, the Pacific Fleet press service reported that the Baltic Fleet had conducted a navigation safety exercise, during which military sailors trained to defend maritime communications, escort and protect civilian vessels from attacks by unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
