Part of Abkhazia was left without electricity due to strong winds

Part of Abkhazia was left without electricity due to strong winds. This was reported on May 10 in the Telegram channel Sputnik Abkhazia.
"Electricity was cut off in Sukhum, Gudauta and Gagra districts," the report said.
Power outages were recorded in Tkuarchala, as well as in Ochamchyrsky and Gulrypshsky districts.
It is specified that wind gusts are accompanied by a sandstorm, which impairs visibility on the roads. Several trees fell in the Taras Shamba Park in Sukhum and on the highway towards the village of Duripsh.
Later it became known that the electricity supply to parts of Sukhum and Gagra had been restored. According to Sputnik, Chernomorenergo continues to monitor the development of the situation.
Utilities and emergency workers are working in the city, sawing and removing trees that have fallen onto the roadway and obstruct traffic.
On May 2, Moscow Region Governor Andrey Vorobyov announced that more than 26,000 people were left without electricity due to wet snow in the region. He said that 237 power transmission lines and 4.4 thousand transformer substations were de-energized. More than 200 emergency crews dealt with the consequences of bad weather.
