An earthquake of magnitude 4.7 occurred off the coast of Ecuador. This was announced on May 10 on the website of the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC).
According to EMSC, the epicenter of the earthquake was located 43 km south-east of the city of Guayaquil, which is home to more than 1.9 million people. The source was located at a depth of 10 km.

An earthquake of magnitude 5 occurred on May 6 on the border of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan. The earthquake was located on the territory of Tajikistan (Zaalai ridge), 23 km south-east of the village of Bor-Debe, 8 km south of the village of Kara-Kindik.
