Former Yenisei basketball player Dragan Labovich has died.


Dragan Labovich, a former player of several VTB United League clubs, died at the age of 38. This was announced on May 10 on the page of the Adriatic League in the social network X (former. Twitter).
According to the Eurohoops sports portal, the athlete's cause of death was a heart attack. A message on the website of the Basketball Federation of Serbia (KSS) did not specify the exact cause of death.
"The Basketball Federation of Serbia expresses its deepest condolences to the family. Dragan Labovich will be buried on Monday, May 12, 2025," the sports organization said in a statement.
The Serbian basketball player, who played as a forward, has built an eventful international career. Labovich made his name in 2003 at the FMP Zeleznik club, with whom he later won the Radivoj Korac Cup in 2005 and 2007. He also played for Borac, Aris, Skyliners Frankfurt and many other clubs from different countries, ending his career at Prokupla at the end of the 2018/19 season. He twice became the European champion in the Serbian youth national team and was called up to the national team.
Labovich played in Russia from 2011 to 2013, representing Krasnoyarsk Yenisei, Samara Krasnye Krylia and Pari Nizhny Novgorod.
