In Buryatia, a fire was localized on 110 hectares

The staff of the Ministry of Emergency Situations eliminated a fire in Buryatia on 110 hectares and did not allow the fire to spread to the village of Romanovka. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation.

"The fire is localized on 110 hectares," follows from the message of the department in the Telegram channel.

It is specified that with the help of the Mi-8 helicopter, rescuers dropped 18 tons of water on the fires. In addition, the Ministry of Emergency Situations laid two mineralized strips and annealed dry grass.

In total, more than 200 people and 43 pieces of equipment were involved in extinguishing the fire.

A state of emergency has been introduced in three regions.

The area of forest fires in the Republic of Buryatia reached 24.7 thousand hectares on May 9. The department urged residents to handle fire more carefully and not to visit the forest during the current fire protection regime.
