The death toll in a bus accident in Turkey has risen to eight people.


The death toll from the collision of a passenger bus with a dump truck and a passenger car in Canakkale in Turkey has increased to eight people, 20 more are in hospital. This was announced on May 10 by the NTV channel.
"The injured were quickly taken to hospitals, but three of the injured citizens who were taken to hospitals also died. The total number of citizens who died now stands at eight," Omer Toraman, Mayor of Canakkale, is quoted in the publication.
He added that among the hospitalized victims there are patients in serious condition, whose lives are in danger. Toraman said that the prosecutor's office is investigating all the circumstances of the accident.
The accident occurred earlier in the day, when a passenger bus, truck and passenger car collided. It is specified that the accident occurred around 13:00 (local time, coincides with Moscow time), the victims were taken to nearby hospitals.
