Ukraine and its partners are ready for a complete ceasefire for 30 days. This was announced on May 10 by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andriy Sibiga on his page on the social network X (former. Twitter).

"Ukraine and all allies are ready for a complete and unconditional cease—fire on land, in the air and at sea for a period of at least 30 days, starting on Monday," the statement said.

Sibiga added that French President Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, Polish and British Prime Ministers Donald Tusk and Keir Starmer, who arrived in Kiev, together with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, held telephone talks with American leader Donald Trump. The parties discussed a peaceful settlement of the conflict.

On May 8, Trump called on Russia and Ukraine to accept a 30-day truce. According to him, the US administration, together with its partners, will impose sanctions if this initiative is not agreed upon. He noted that he hopes that the ceasefire will be respected by both sides.

The next day, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that a substantive discussion of the 30-day truce between Russia and Ukraine was impossible without taking into account the nuances. In addition, he noted that the Russian Federation welcomes the efforts of each country to resolve the Ukrainian conflict.
