The river cruise ship Bijou du Rhône with 127 passengers from Germany on board crashed into a barge on the Rhone River in France. This was reported on May 10 by the newspaper Dauphiné Libéré.

"The impact was strong, as a result of which the hull of the vessel was damaged and significant damage was caused to the barge," the publication clarifies.

It is reported that the impact fell above the waterline of the ship, so it is not in danger of flooding. According to the newspaper, the incident occurred near the commune of Sablon.

Passengers and crew members are scheduled to be dropped off and transported to their destination by buses. The evacuation is expected to take place on Sunday.

On April 12, 26 people were rescued from a burning tourist diving vessel in Thailand. It was clarified that due to the fire, people boarded a lifeboat and were rescued by a passing vessel.
