On May 9, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova ridiculed the West's attempt to divert attention from the Victory Day parade in Moscow by organizing the Council of Foreign Ministers of the European Union (EU) in Lviv.

It is specified that on the same day, a meeting of the foreign ministers of the EU countries was held in Lviv. They discussed the "special tribunal" against Russia.

"Well, hold on. While the Great Victory Day parade was taking place in Moscow, the Westerners in Lviv decided to kill the effect with the Council of Foreign Ministers of the European Union. <...> You can't argue: they work creatively, in contrast," Zakharova wrote on her Telegram channel.

On May 9, the Victory Day Parade in the Great Patriotic War ended on Red Square. More than 11 thousand military personnel took part in it, including 1.5 thousand special operation soldiers. The event was attended by more than 25 foreign leaders, as well as military personnel from countries friendly to Russia and foreign delegations.
