- Belousov discussed military-technical cooperation with the Minister of Defense of Kyrgyzstan

Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov held a meeting with his Kyrgyz counterpart Baktybek Bekbolotov, during which they discussed issues of military-technical cooperation between the two countries. This was announced on May 10 by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
During the conversation, Belousov expressed his joy at communicating with the Minister of Defense of Kyrgyzstan.
"You said very accurately yesterday that we are all children of the same family, which is called the Soviet people. And this family broke the backbone of fascism," said the Russian Defense Minister.
Bekbolotov, in turn, noted that "our grandfathers worked hand in hand, shoulder to shoulder, to achieve the great Victory of a great country, a great People." According to him, Russia and Kyrgyzstan must cherish this day.
"Of course, there are a lot of opponents of this Victory who are trying to rewrite it. As a descendant of a warrior, and my grandfather walked from Stalingrad to Koningsberg, I believe that we must cherish this Victory, this day," said Bekbolotov.
On May 9, Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov attended the Victory Day Parade in Moscow.
Before that, in October last year, the President of Kyrgyzstan said that the country would not abandon cooperation with Russia. He noted that, despite the sanctions, many Western corporations continue to operate in the Russian market space.
