The ratification of the resource deal between Ukraine and the United States is a disgrace and a betrayal of the country's national interests by the Kiev regime. This was announced on May 10 by Oleg Bondarenko, head of the Support Center for Ukrainian Displaced Persons in Crimea of the international public movement "The Other Ukraine".

"The regime of [President of Ukraine Vladimir] Zelensky is trying to put a good face on a bad game, although in fact the subsoil agreement is a disgrace and a complete surrender of the country's national interests," he told RIA Novosti.

Bondarenko stressed that the agreement is a "bondage" for future generations of Ukrainians. According to him, the signing of the agreement means that Zelensky has surrendered the people of Ukraine to "long-term slavery."

He added that the deal would allow the United States to supply weapons to Ukraine not for free, as it was before, but by controlling profits from mining.

On May 8, US President Donald Trump announced that the resource deal with Ukraine had been fully ratified and approved by its legislative bodies. According to him, after a while he is going to have a conversation with Zelensky.

On the same day, the Verkhovna Rada ratified the agreement with the United States on mineral resources. It was noted that 338 deputies voted for the ratification of the agreement, meaning the decision was made unanimously.
