Russian servicemen laid wreaths at WWII monuments in Kursk region

Military personnel of the 810th Separate Guards Marine Brigade of the Black Sea Fleet as part of the North group of forces laid wreaths at memorials and monuments dedicated to the events of the Great Patriotic War (WWII) in the Belovsky district of the Kursk region in honor of Victory Day. This was announced on May 10 by the Russian Defense Ministry.
"This event, which we held together with the soldiers of the 810th brigade, is certainly important, since I myself am a descendant of the victorious soldiers," said the deputy commander of the military training company with the call sign Stavropol.
He clarified that the continuity of generations is a very important point. According to him, history must be remembered, and everyone should know their past. Stavropol noted that it is also necessary to pass on existing knowledge to children.
"First of all, our history is rich in the fact that despite the fact that our ancestors shed a lot of blood, we, after all, the Russian people always moved forward and were strong people. <...> It is always necessary to remember and it is important to transmit any information so that our children, first of all, know about the exploits of their relatives," said the shooter with the call sign I.T.
Currently, the military personnel continue to perform their assigned tasks during a special military operation, the ministry added.
On May 8, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that the military personnel of the Vostok group of forces had restored the memorial to soldiers who fell in the Great Patriotic War (WWII) in one of the liberated settlements of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR).
