Maduro praised the Victory Day parade on Red Square

President of Venezuela Nicolas Maduro congratulated President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin and all Russians on the upcoming 80th anniversary of the Great Victory, and also highly appreciated the solemn parade that took place on Red Square.

"Congratulations to President Vladimir Putin and all the people of Russia on Victory Day. We witnessed a grand military parade dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory of the Red Army over Nazism and fascism," Maduro said in his Telegram channel.

A parade dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War was held in Moscow on May 9. This year's parade crews included participants in a special military operation. Putin stressed that the defeat of Nazism was achieved through joint efforts, including the opening of a second front. The Russian leader noted that almost 80% of the population of many countries was involved in the Second World War.

The Venezuelan President arrived in Moscow on May 7 to participate in celebrations marking the anniversary of the Victory. During this visit, Vladimir Putin and Maduro signed an agreement on strategic cooperation between the states.
