The military of the Russian Armed Forces held a St. George Ribbon campaign in honor of Victory Day in the LPR

As part of the celebration of the 80th anniversary of Victory Day and the preservation of the memory of the heroic deed of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War (WWII), servicemen of the 49th Territorial Military Automobile Inspection (VAI) of the Zapad group of forces held a large-scale St. George Ribbon action in the Luhansk People's Republic (LPR). This was announced on May 10 by the Russian Defense Ministry.

The VAI staff presented St. George's ribbons to the personnel, local residents and military personnel, reminding them of the heroism of their ancestors and the importance of generational continuity. The event was accompanied by stories about the meaning of the ribbon and its history, as well as congratulations on Victory Day. The military emphasized that the memory of the feat of the heroes of the Second World War is alive and serves as an example of courage for modern defenders of the Fatherland.

"The action is being held today in honor of the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.That is why we are here and we are also trying to fight for our country. I am proud to be here with the guys," said Inspector VAI.

On May 8, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported that the artists of the front-line brigade of the Song and Dance Ensemble of the Central Military District (CVO) performed a concert program and congratulated the residents of the LPR on the anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War as part of the Victory March campaign.
