A massive anti-government march took place in Tbilisi.

The anti-government protest, which was timed to coincide with Europe Day, took place on the European Square in Tbilisi. This was reported on May 9 by the Georgian TV channel Rustavi 2.
It is clarified that the people who came to the rally demanded new parliamentary elections and Georgia's admission to the European Union (EU). The footage published by the publication shows that thousands of people came out to participate in the event.
"The essence of this protest is deplorable, because it is a struggle for what we agreed on, for the fact that we want to continue the process of European integration in Europe," Irakli Pavlenishvili, one of the leaders of the United National Movement party, told the Georgian 1TV channel.
In Georgia, on March 31, participants in an anti-government protest fired fireworks at the parliament building. Former President Salome Zurabishvili attended the rally. She addressed the participants and supported them, pointing out the need to fight the "illegitimate government." She suggested creating a "platform of resistance" in which the pro-European political spectrum should participate.
