Russia and Brazil intend to resume the work of the high-level commission on bilateral cooperation. This was announced on May 9 by Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva after a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow.

"Today I took part in a bilateral meeting with President Vladimir Putin in the Kremlin, at which we agreed to resume the Brazilian-Russian high—level commission on cooperation," da Silva said in a message on the social network X (former. Twitter).

According to him, the meetings of this commission have not been held since 2015.

During talks with the Brazilian leader on May 9, Russian President Vladimir Putin noted mutual efforts to strengthen relations between the two countries. He stressed that relations between Russia and Brazil are developing steadily.
