Pro-Ukrainian activists tried to disrupt the Victory Day ceremony in London


In London, pro-Ukrainian activists tried to disrupt a ceremony dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, during which participants laid flowers at the Soviet War Memorial. This was reported on May 9 by a correspondent of Izvestia.
A group of pro-Ukrainian activists shouted anti-Russian slogans. However, they failed to stop the event.
The memorable meeting in London was joined by ambassadors and diplomats from Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Cuba, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, citizens of the Russian Federation, students of Russian-speaking educational institutions and caring Britons.
On the same day, thousands of people attended commemorative events dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War in Berlin. Residents and guests of the city sang the song "Katyusha" and laid flowers at the memorials.
