- Zakharova called the willingness to fight for the truth the main philosophy of Russians.

The main philosophy of Russian citizens is their willingness to fight for the truth and sacrifice everything to save others. This was announced on May 9 by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.
She recalled a case when she was asked about the main idea of uniting Russians in 2022. The interviewee believed that it was only about protecting the truth and being right.
"It's not just that, the whole nation stood up, not only because they were right, but without even asking themselves questions of this level, they stood up because ours were already there on the front line. And ours were on the front line for those whom they considered ours, and who had been begging for help for many years," Zakharova said in an interview with TASS.
According to the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, there are different things between "getting up and being ready for a feat, feeling absolutely right" and "being ready for self-sacrifice, because it is necessary for those who are on the verge of life or beyond". She believes that these "subtle philosophical things" are described in fiction, Russian philosophy, and journalism. Many films have also been shot on this topic.
"This is what allows us to mobilize and face the most monstrous challenges, but this is also the reason why we are doing this," Zakharova said.
On the same day, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the further away from the Second World War, the higher the responsibility. According to him, Victory Day commemorates all those who gave their strength for freedom, peace, and sacrificed themselves to save humanity.
